Do you go back or quit completely.

Sometimes we quit something without any reason but based on our feelings. It could be a job where you feel everything is absolutely wrong or maybe you're just tired. In this times you find that you didn't have any plans for the future but you just made an abrupt decision. Other times maybe moving away from the family members out of anger. You spend a year or more without going back home , but in the end you still return. Others disappear never to be heard from. The list is long including quitting from school, places of worship and others. What is your advice to someone in this moments? If you don't mind sharing , have you ever found yourself in such situations?

I quit a placement once on the YTS. It was called R.A. James, and they put stickers on ash trays and jugs and bar pumps for pubs. They were wet stickers. You put them in water to soak them off the backing sheet, then you position them on the item. Then you use a rubber squeagy to smooth it down and get all the bubbles out. Then they go in the kiln to be fired. Well, I got told off for not doing it quick enough, then when I did it quicker I got told off for not getting all the bubbles out! Well, I couldn't do both! If they wanted me to get all the bubbles out, then I can't do that quickly! So, I quit. I told my tutor on the YTS I wanted to leave the placement and I told him why. I wasn't really keen on that YTS anyway. It was supposed to be an art and design YTS, but the placements were nothing to do with art or design. They were at a clothes company, Pippa Dee, and a Co-Op shop as well as R.A. James. It was a real disappointment!

More often one get disappointed comparing the expectations and the real situations. I was once promised a very good deal in my profession. The salary was okay but they did not state the cons of the institution in paying. Fresh from the University renting a house and struggling to survive till the next month once the salary is received. The next mont arrived but the payments were delayed till 20's of the other month. Having relocated from areas next to school to a further part of the country had a toll on my savings. Persevered for half a year and then I decided to quit. Ridicule from the higher ups and harsh treatments as they always said " people are out there looking for job, once you leave you're easily replaced as a simcard"

@Gladoun Yes, I know what you mean. I'm sorry for your situation. Did you get a better job after that?
