Avocado Toast - Yes, I've Joined The Bandwagon

Growing up from the Philippines, avocado is more of a dessert kind of fruit. During the season, ripe avocados were scooped out into bowls or glasses, topped with some cream, sugar and ice. If you're feeling more adventurous, you can even blend it. It's a ice summer treat for me and my siblings. Moving here in the US, avocado is not eaten as a dessert. For the longest time, I have seen influencers make avocado toasts and for me, it does not make any sense. It's a cultural thing, I guess. Last night, we went to Whole Foods - we finally moved to a town and state that has Whole Foods - and I saw some fresh avocados. We still have some sourdough bread and so I decided to jump the bandwagon and see if I will like those avocado toasts. I know, I am late to the party, but hey, better late than never! And what do you know, I ended up liking the flavor. I just toasted the sourdough bread, mashed the avocados and spread it over it and just seasoned it with salt and pepper. Pretty simple, and pretty tasty. And I think it's a healthy breakfast too that is very easy to prepare.

Avocado toast is pretty good. My latest thing is putting Everything bagel seasoning on it.

I have never tried avocado toast. My favorite way to eat avocado is in guacamole.
