"I Want A Job"

Without giving too much personal information, I work in the hospital/healthcare industry. My last position was in a hospital where the final hiring decision for all positions rests with me. Once a Filipino RN came to me for help because no hospital would hire him as he has a mark on his record. I gave him a chance and he has exceeded all our expectations. I mean, people make mistakes, we all do, but it's how we get up and put our life back on track that matters to me most of all.
So three weeks ago, we moved, and I now have a new job, still in the same industry. Another RN from the Philippines came to me to help her and her boyfriend land a job at the same hospital. I introduced them to the Director of Nursing and let them talk and work on it.
Yesterday, this RN messaged me to follow up on her application. Since I still have some influence and still in contact with that hospital, I reached out to the DON. I found out that they want shorter hours, and their asking pay is out of their range. When the DON told them about the requirements of the job, they insisted that they can only work on days, no overtime, no weekends and no call. So the DON told them that it seems like it's not going to be a good fit, so as far as she knows she has told them that they will no longer be considered for the job.
I told the nurse that they were told about the requirements of the job and since they will be unable to commit to it, it will not work out. Imagine my surprise when she told me to work my magic and do something about it.
Mind you, we're not close. We're not even friends, just met here and there during gatherings. But the audacity to dictate how I should help her just gives me a sick feeling. I chose not to respond to her and hopefully she will get the hint that she is being entitled and I no longer want to be involved with them.
