Frugal Entertaiment: Free RedBox Rentals. 8.24.2023

So tonight on the way home from work I got an email that said I had a code for a free RedBox one night rental, and then when we got there and were checking out, I was given the opportunity for another free one night rental. So of course I jumped at that chance. The two movies we got were Asteroid City and Angry Neighbors. Asteroid City has Tom Hanks and Bryan Cranston as well as many other people. The plot of the movie intrigued us when we saw the preview a couple months ago. So when I saw it at RedBox tonight I decided to get it. The movie is described as a quirky comedy on google. It is about a world changing event that disturbs the Space Cadet festival in a small town in the desert in the mid fifties. Angry Neighbors stars Bobby Cannavale, Stockard Channing and Cheech. So that's really promising. It is a cynical comedy, which are some of my favorite kinds of movies. It is about a wealthy neighbor who builds a mansion next to a grumpy ex writer. So both of them seem like they will be very good! I don't know if we will actually make it through a whole movie, but here's to hoping.
