Day 43
Matthew 24:32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 36 But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch, therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master delays his coming,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Do you pay attention to what is going on around you? Are you aware of what is happening in the world? People try to make light of the signs of the end of the world. Movies sensationalize the end of the world so that people do and don’t believe the end will ever come.
Jesus gave His disciples specific signs of what would take place when He returned. He told them what the world would be like and said even the heavens would be shaken. Then He gave them the parable of the fig tree and told His disciples they needed to watch and pay attention because His return would be at a time when people least expected, but He would bless those who watched and heeded the signs. Those who didn’t watch would be cut off and thrown into Hell.
Christians are of two minds regarding the signs Jesus gave them. Some believe the end has already come with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and we’re living in the aftermath. Others believe the end is yet to come.
If you are paying attention to the signs of Jesus’ coming, you know He has not returned, but we are on the threshold of the end times. We see the signs being fulfilled all over the world. There are more wars and rumors of wars taking place than before in history. Natural disasters happen more frequently. The current state of the world is a good indication that Jesus is coming soon. Climate change is a huge sign with wildfires taking place all over the world, oppressive heat, hurricanes, typhoons, tornadoes, and earthquakes where none were before. Everything points to His coming. Are you watching? Or are you one who believes He already came? Watch! He’s coming on the clouds at a time when no one knows, not the angels, or the Son of God, only the Father. Jesus said those who watch and pay attention to the signs will be blessed. Everyone else will see their end in destruction and Hell. Jesus is coming soon!
Let’s pray: Father, Jesus gave people the signs of His return. Help me pay attention to the signs. Let me be aware of the world around me and bless me because I’m watchful. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Globally the Earth is being strained in every way possible. It wouldn't surprise me if the end were near. Thank you for the Bible Study and have a blessed day.
