Review of Forever My Girl

K and I have been watching this movie on Netflix. It is a very Hallmark-style movie about a guy who leaves his bride at the altar to pursue fame and fortune as a country singer only to return 8 years later when his best friend from high school dies to discover he has a daughter. The movie is about how he tries to get to know his daughter and be a part of her life. It is a decent romance story with the usual twists and turns. There was one aspect of the movie that bothered me. The female lead's brother. He was supposed to come across as an overprotective sibling. Instead, he came across as a jealous lover. It made the character seem somewhat pervy and gross. The young actress who played the daughter was terrific in the role. She had all the best lines. It's worth a watch if you have a chance.
