I just got hired to teach saxophone at a elementary school. School starts either next Sunday or Tuesday. I need to play for the kids a solo piece on the saxophone that will make them want to play the saxophone. And it has to be not too hard because I don't have that much time to practice between now and then!
What is your favorite piece played on the saxophone? What piece would give the studnets a thirst to play the saxophone?

Rock the Bop by Brenda Lee has some good sax in it. Ina Mina Dika by Asha Bhosle does too. I believe the latter is conducted by C. Ramchandra.

Never heard the saxophone separately; I was a piano player at one time.

Maybe you should start with the piano again. I play a bit. My granddaughter who is 2 likes to bang on the keys. . . .

You could try Two Hearts, Two Kisses by Pat Boone too.
