Joe LeClair who lives with his wife Renae in Big Bear California when he was working outside of his home on Tuesday evening when a large chunk of ice that crashed through the roof and would up in the attic.
Joe as well as his wife are wondering how did a huge chunk of ice that caused a 24 inch diameter hole in the roof of his home.
Since the weather outside of his home was warm, he suspects that an airplane that was flying overhead.
Airplanes are known for dropping ice balls from the sky that on occasion do land on the ground and cause damage to the property.
What bothers Joe and his wife is that when they tried to get answers from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) but the government officials have told them that megacryometeors are not in their field of expertise.
Joe also contacted the sheriff's department in Big Bear and they told Jow that it is anybody's guess who was responsible for the accident that damaged his roof.
Sounds like a story that could be on "The Twilight Zone" and "Ripley's Believe It Or Not."

I am in agreement with you that hopefully the home of the LeClair family can be repaired quickly.

@flapiz I remember when Hurricane Laura and Delta struck Lake Charles the authorities warned persons living in the storm area that the roof could collapse due to the storm and to take precautions.

@RubyHawk I know that crazy things happen in California but this is the first time I learned about a megacryometeor striking a home.

@Deepizzaguy I didn’t know anything like that could happen. That’s amazing.
