Day 57 Luke 1:39 Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city in Judah, 40 and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41 It happened when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and the Holy Spirit filled Elizabeth. 42 Then she spoke out loudly and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the baby leaped for joy in my womb. 45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things told her from the Lord.” 46 Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48 For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. 49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. 50 His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. 51 He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He has put down the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty. 54 He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy, 55 as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever.” 56 Mary remained with her for about three months and returned to her house. When you receive good news, you want to tell someone, especially when you find out there is more good news from someone you care about. You’d like to know the details. Mary left home as soon as the angel left her and went to see Elizabeth, whom the angel said would also have a child. As soon as they met, Elizabeth knew Mary would have the promised Messiah, and told Mary her baby leaped for joy at her greeting. Mary then blessed God for what He did for her and how He always helped His people. Christians know Mary’s adoration as the Magnificat, a hymn of her blessing and praise to God for everything God did for His people. She then told Elizabeth God would bless her in the generations to come. People around the world bless Mary for her role as the mother of Jesus. God’s blessings come to those who believe what He tells them. As God blessed Mary who became the mother of Jesus, He will bless you when you act on what He tells you. Mary was a woman of action. She went to Elizabeth and praised God for all He did. When you tell all God does for you, God will bless you and you will see His blessings on your life and family. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Mary’s example to go and tell. Help me to bless and praise You for all You do for me. Let me go and tell everyone about Your love for me and how You bless me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 9 September 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

Yes we should tell others about being pardoned and blessed when we are repentant and ask God's guidance in our lives. Amen.
