Some people won't take no for an answer

My cousin is too demanding. Friday night we went for some drinks and met up with a friend that she hadn't yet seen. She had forgotten to bring her the bag of sweets she had brought over from the UK. After the night was over and I drove my cousin home. She asked me if I could take the sweets and hand them to our friend, because she's going back to the UK today I told her I'd rather not have that responsibility because of my working hours. I finish late and I don't want to be running somewhere to meet up and give her sweets. So she huffed and puffed and said 'fine, don't then' Yesterday she ignored my texts and when I went to say our final goodbye, she acted cold and distant I don't understand why people are like this. And act as if they are entitled to a yes. It feels so demanding and really annoying Anyway, she told me she biked and met up with her herself and gave her the sweets yesterday afternoon

You can't do anything about it and you should not let it effect you. Let it go. We too have limits and others have to respect that.

Exactly! When someone says no, the first thing to do is respect the reasons behind it

@Karusa Yes. It is not easy for anyone. But then one has to learn and grow some maturity. Sad that people like your cousin fail to do so.

Yeah, I've encountered such people. They will try to manipulate or guilt you into having their way. I always stick to my resolve because I will not be someone whom they can peg as an easy work. I do not mind helping out within reason. We all have priorities and as someone who is asking for a favor she should be nicer. I hope you just allowed her to huff and puff and simmer. Such a small matter, the way she acted seems like she's not used to being told "no".

She always becomes this spoilt brat when she comes over.

I have a friend like that. They want what they want, no matter the price paid by someone else.

Well, it looks like she had no choice but to take the no. Hehehe.
