Dealing with Some Neck Pain and Headaches

Hey everyone. Sorry I've been so quiet for the past week. I've been dealing with nauseating neck pain for the past week. It's been hard to sleep and even to sort bins at work. I haven't been doing much other than rest. I told my primary care physician about this last week, when I had my physical check-up. She said my right side of my neck was misaligned. And then she ordered a neck X-ray. And I had it done on Friday morning. This afternoon, after a long wait, I've heard back from them during work. I have wear and tear arthritis and Scoliosis. Well, Scoliosis is nothing new since I had it when I was 12 and flare-ups a decade ago for lower back pain. I also had a bit of Dehydration as well that caused the massive headaches. Just the arthritis part in the neck. The treatment plan is medicine for the headaches and arthritis and start Physical therapy next week if not earlier this week. I'll be calling my local rehab place--the same place I went to a decade ago and doesn't require the bus, other than if it rains 50% or more--tomorrow morning to get it scheduled and take medicine to make me feel better. As soon as I'm feeling better later this week, I'll pick up where I left off with the combined recipe list this weekend and posting again. But I'll give you an update tomorrow morning on my PT schedule--whether after work on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday afternoon, or any time on Wednesday and Friday, as soon as it's set up.

Uh oh, your current work may be aggravating your condition. I am sure there is a lot of head and neck involvement in that.

It might since Labor Day. Mostly heaving lifting the Gaylords and not so much bending. I've been avoiding the Gaylord since then and let someone else do it.

I am glad they are getting you physical therapy. My mom had scoliosis too, and it caused her problems too. I hope it makes you feel a lot better.

@KristenH Yeah keep up with the PT exercises at home even when you are done with the physical therapy.

It did help me a tiny bit along with the pain medicine. Now I do the PT exercises on my own.
