I went out and walked to the mailbox, and on the way passed through a barbeque area. There were two dogs running around, so I had to stop and say hello to them--then I hear a familiar voice, and I look up and there's my brother and his girlfriend. Turns out my bro's GF's coworker was having a birthday party for her dog, a cute golden lab, and then it turned out I'd met the co-worker (of course, because of the dog), who said that my brother told her that his sister lived in this apartment complex--and...well, there I was. Small world. After my brother told me some things that happened at the house that were going to split (taking out some from our shares of the rent) the money to repair, we talked about how things were going with each other, and then my brother said something to his girlfriend about leaving, and so they went their way and I went mine. My brother asked if I had called the doctor, and I said no but assured him I would tomorrow (I was planning on it anyway). It's good to have gotten out, and I actually feel a bit better (though the cough seems to have no intention of leaving anytime soon). So, now I'm home. In my mail box was a note from the local hospital reminding me I'm due for a breast cancer screening, and a key to a package locker and a box from Amazon that I have yet to open/can add to the package pile. I need to open one of the older packages. Hope that all is well with you and yours in your part of myLot land!
