Do you keep grudges or forgive and forget?

Hallo everyone! I hope you are doing so well in wherever corner of the world you are. The going is very great here and everything is in its place. So do you people forgive the ones that offend you and forget? or you are the kind of people that hold the grudges of the other people in your hearts till forever? Its always advisable to forgive and forget. Almost all the religions on earth advocate for forgiveness. The one good thing in forgiveness is that you are going to be set free from the load of stresses and tempers that one acquires after the offense occurs between the people involved. For me I usually forgive and forget. Happy new week.

I forgive them but I won't allow them the same place in my life that they once had.

@Treborika Once someone hurts me, I forgive them, but the friendship has been fractured. I will still talk with them, be nice but the friendship has changed. You may stomp on my foot once but trust me I won't put it out there for you to do it again.

I have to forgive because Jesus forgave me, but on occasion it can take some time. However, as we are called to forgive, we are not commanded to keep a relationship with the ones who have tried to harm us.

i forgive but it takes time to totally forget and not be bothered what one person has done to me. like one person did to me before i thought ii seems impossible to forgive but now i don't feel the pain anymore. i don't feel the resentment i used to feel. so i do forgive but the feeling that i have forgiven the person will follow after some time depending how bad it was.

@treborika Forgiveness is such a beautiful grace. I have been forgiven by many people for many things so I try to forgive. Jesus draws a close link between us forgiving others and God forgiving us.
