Yesterday evening I saw someone I knew of (Hadn't met them in person yet) post something about that she had recently been lied to and she was removing toxic people out of her life. So I felt I needed to say to that I knew how she felt. I began chatting with her online. Then we started talking about Genealogy and what I wanted to tell her was long so we got into a phone call. Also she is going through some surgeries and I am praying for her and I am asking that my friends here to please pray for her also. Anyway the point of this conversation is that I have got into some relationships that did not work out, then I finally get it right and we married then he died. Ok, why God did you plan it that way? In my thirties I finally met a half brother via phone calls, because he was very far away. He was trying to get me into a relationship with some of our other siblings when he passed away before this happened and that I was able to go meet him. Before he had been able to connect me with them another brother died and another just won't speak to me. Why God? Years later I found another sister and it turns out that we live in the same state. For over a year she wouldn't allow me to tell the other siblings about her. We sent (mostly her...... $$$$) each other presents. Her husband had a medical situation and when he had to have surgery they only called me. But she has never given me her phone number and when she calls me she blocks her number, but chats with me online everyday. Then she let me tell the other siblings about them! But gave one of them her phone number. I was in a situation that I had to possibly move to a town that turns out was about 45 minutes to the south is where she lives and 30 minutes north to our sister that I grew up with. Both of them convinced me to move there so I would be close near them so we could visit. I have lived here 1 year and 3 months and neither of them have been to visit. Huh? Why God? It's funny the way God plans things because the person I was chatting with and then talked to said to me now that we have each other's phone numbers let's keep in touch. I agreed. She is the daughter of one of the people from my revious relationships that didn't work out and my son's sister. Strange, but great! But I am confused God. Why ? That is kind of like years ago when my husband was alive we went to his first wife and her current husbands house for dinner, I talked to her on the phone many times, she visited my husband at the hospital by his request. I gave her the information about his funeral and she came. However one of my brother-in-laws liked her and had nothing against her, but got mad because I invited her to the funeral. Huh? Why?

Relationships can be extremely messy. I try to avoid toxic people as much as possible. Toxic to me is always asking for something, telling me I can' talk to someone else, saying they are going to do something but never get around to it.

It's frustrating to know we won't have answers until we get to Heaven. We can only have our theories, and trust He knows things we can't. That doesn't make people feel better though, I know. So many things that have happened in my life, just don't make sense to me.

@dfollin I believe the Bible when it says we will. I don't doubt it, but I understand why other people do.

@AmbiePam Amber, you gave such a wise and Biblical answer. As much as we'd love to think our loved ones are looking down on us or taking care of us, that really isn't in the Scriptures. But the Bible does reassure us that we'll know each other in heaven.

It's natural to wonder why life happens like it does, but so many problems (not all) are caused by the actions of others. Like Amber said, some questions won't get answered until we get to heaven. But this is where trust and faith in God comes in.

Families can be so dysfunctional and toxic. We just try and muddle through the best that we can. I'm sorry you've had so many disappointments. I had one major disappointment in my life. Because of it I haven't seen anyone from my family in over 50 years. Such is life. Have a good day.
