This is another one of those songs that, in today’s world, would probably get banned for blatant sexism. In fact, there are a ton of country songs that’d fit that bill. But I don’t look at it this way. First, this came out before I was even born, so it’s not applicable to me. Secondly, with a title like that you know it’s not serious courting/marital (“you’re never gonna make that woman your wife unless you tell her lies and feed her candy”) advice.
