Caught some fish, Ate some pizza, Had some ice cream

Son2 and I arrived in Kure Beach right on time to move into the cottage for our three-night stay. We brought in our bags and headed straight for the pier where we fished for about an hour. We caught several fish. All but one were pinfish. We didn't mind. Our goal was to enjoy being back with the ocean. Finishing up our bait is what stopped our fishing. We came back to the cottage, washed up, and went to our favorite Italian restaurant on the island for pizza. Uncle Vinnie's makes the best pizza on the island in our humble opinions. Son2 and I shared a small pizza. We wanted to leave room for dessert. There is an ice cream shop on the island called the Celtic Creamery we've been wanting to try. Tonight, we did. The ice cream was delicious, smooth, and creamy. When K and I are down in October, I am definitely taking her there to try some. After returning to the cottage, we decided to take a walk on the boardwalk along the beach as Son2 needed to get his steps in for the day. Now, we are back in the cottage, and I'll soon be heading to bed. I hope all of you had a good day today. What does Wednesday hold in store for you?

This is one of my wishes in life and that is to catch fish. Does it take long to catch a big fat one?

@DWDavis I heard that our city's lake was open for catching fishes there. But, we cannot bring them home and need to threw them back to the lake. It is just a matter of having the experience of catching them. I might try it if time permits.

It takes longer than we spent fishing. All we caught were small, bony fish called pinfish. They don't make good eating. We threw them all back.

We had breakfast at a local restaurant and spent the rest of the morning on the pier. Then lunch at a different local place and a visit to the aquarium.

What did you do with the fish? Seems you are having a swell time. Have a blast. I am busy getting our little kitten to get used to solid food Her mother is still nursing As I am writing this post she is on my knee She climbed up on her own using my leg Her open claws hurt me.

We photograph the first catch of each type of fish and then release them. Today all we caught were pinfish, which aren't good for eating anyway.

It continued well into Wednesday. We fished from after breakfast until just before lunch. We'll probably go back tonight after sundown to try our luck at night fishing. I haven't done that since I was a teenager.

Do you remember the days when no one worried about getting their steps in? I hear that so frequently now days! At least it makes people aware of how active they are. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Counting steps is a recent phenomenon. I wear a FitBit and try to get in 6,000 steps a day. Yesterday, I got in almost 16,000. I'm already over 6,000 for today.
