Chilly is our little time clock. He started to beg for food a couple minutes after noon. I don't know if he can tell time, but he knows what should happen. And, when it doesn't go according to plan, he sure lets me know about it. So, now laundry is done, Chilly has been fed and now I'm going to feed myself my mac and chease. After testing my blood sugar of course.

Yes, they do. Chilly adapted to when I changed his feeding time. But, if I try it again, he won't let me forget it.

They have a very precise biological clock. I hope that your blood sugar is good. Enjoy your mac and cheese.

@kaylachan Happy to know that. I have not checked mine in the last whole week. And that's not something good. I feel okay. I will check it tomorrow.

My outdoor cats always greet me at the door meowing for breakfast/brunch. They have that internal feed me clock!

Luna comes every day to the glass door of my bedroom to wake me up. She does it at the same time every day.

I also noticed my puppy seems to know when to eat. He is good at sensing that it is eating time.

If you're consistent, this will happen.

@kaylachan I agree. I find it fascinating how they knew this. It reminded me of when I was still working in an isolated province and the stray pigs knew when it was time to eat.

@Shavkat Animals need food to survive. Therefore it's in their best interest to learn.

Dogs and cats have a better time sense than we do sometimes. My dogs were always like that. Enjoy your day.

My dogs couldn't tell time, my cats on the other hand adjusted to me quickly.

Dogs and cats are so good at knowing schedules, aren’t they. And, of course, I would expect Chilly to be one of the best.

Kitty was sure yelling this morning. He started before 6 am, so I guess his clock was a bit off

When we would take the cats because we needed to leave our apartment for some reason, they would start on me when I was trying to sleep. At home on the other hand, they behaved differently.
