Why is everyone criticizing people who want to help instead of criticizing uncaring people?

Today I learned some lessons. I was criticized because I wanted to help a kitten. Everyone wanted to force me to go to the vet, but a single person didn't criticize people who abandoned them. The next time I don't dare to ask for help. Even here I told that people disrespected me and I was criticized for some reason. But the rude person was defended. I wonder why this happens. This makes me angry.
Why do people criticize and blame people who were disrespected? Why do you defend rude people and criticize people who want to help? I need to be uncaring. I need to learn to leave animals to die. I am criticized for trying to help. And those careless people are there happy enjoying life.

Most people have what's known as the bystander complex. Ie: if something happens, they don't want to be held responsible for it. You did the right thing trying to help the animal, because doing nothing, could be considered animal neglect. Something those so-called uncaring people aren't thinking about. Continue to be a good person, despite others shortcomings. You can't fix the world, only yourself.

@dya80dya Laws only protect animals if there's proof to back it up. In the case of the abandoned kitten, however, without knowing exact details... the law may not be able to protect it.

@kaylachan Yes. And we don't have a camera in that place. They can abandon cats every month.

@RebeccasFarm Some people deserve mean words. I can be mean if people are mean, but it's not easy. I wish I could be careless.

I guess some people like to criticize a person that they do not like for being good since it is considered being a wimpy person.
