Today has gone okay, except... I almost got hit by a car. Instead of stopping at the intersection and waiting, this one idiot kept right on driving. Thankfully I was stopped, but had I not been we would've crashed. Another driver decided to turn instead of waiting for me to cross. Again another near miss, but not as close as the first. I have seen a string of drivers who appear to be asleep at the wheel. taking to long to move. It's crazy the way things end up happening.
I wasn't hurt, but still. People need to learn to be more careful.

Ugh. Thank goodness you weren't hurt. And I read your post just after seeing a social media post from a parent group that a kid on a bike was hit at our school intersection this morning

@kaylachan I heard later that the kid was ok but shaken up - luckily not injured. But the bike got dragged under the car . . . oh that could have been very, very bad.
Drivers here are in such a hurry . . . it makes me so mad to see so many close call accidents!

@snowy22315 He does drive me sometimes, but weather or not he comes, I still have to go out into the road. I stay on sidewalks as much as possible, but I still have the road to deal with . And, while it's a risk, I can't let it turn me into a shut in.

I am. I wish more sidewalks existed, but they don't. Sometimes I do have to roll on the shoulder of the road, and I hate it.
