The smoke alarm saga is finally over.

I didn't want to say anything to soon, but the smoke alarm replacement we bought is still silent. We put it up when we got home and other than testing it, it's stayed quiet. We're glad it's finally over, until the next one fails. Which we hope won't be for a very long time. Now I need to check on the dish washer and think about moving it. Well, after the hoses have a chance to drain. It's a portable one that we attach to our kitchen sink. Chilly had been sleeping on my couch but jumped ship when George sat on his. As long as he remains sleeping I should be able to move the dish washer without him being in the way. George told me the story of how he rescued what he believes is a tree frog who got inside because of all the rain. I don't recall all of what he told me (I was otherwise distracted), but I'll share it as soon as I remember.

@kareng That's how I was starting to feel by day three. But, we needed to get them fixed, so we did.

Same with our house. We would have to take out most of our cabinets. So we've decided not to.
