Has anyone tried blockbuster online as compared to netflix? I have used them both and they are pretty much the same price wise but I think netflix's website is easier to navigate and they have a better selection of movies. What do you think?

I disagree with Netflix being better- I love Blockbuster online... I think Blockbuster realized that alot of people thought and used Netflix. I almost cancelled my blockbuster online account. I just didn't watch as many movies and it always seemed like when I wanted to watch one it was in the mail. Now blockbuster came out with a new program-- same price-- old users didn't even have to switch- You get movies in the mail but when you're finished you can take them back into the store for a new movie--- the store sends them in to blockbuster online and your new movie is shipped.. This doesn't take any longer.. I love being able to take my online movie into Blockbuster and picking out any movie for free! It's certainly an added bonus- Netflix-- well there are no Netflix rental stores- Blockbuster really stepped up with this program!

HMMM. I had no idea it worked like that. They just closed my closest Blockbuster store but there is another one not too far away. I will have to investigate further. Thanks for the tip.

I did use Bockbuster online for about a year. The prices are reasonable and you can keep the movies for as long as you would like. I also loved using the in-store coupons. I will probably restart my membership now that you can return the movies you rent online to the stores now and get your next selection even sooner. I am a huge fan of blockbuster.

I always want to watch the movies that look interesting to me, but they are not always the movies I want my children to see.

I actually stopped the service because I was finding myself with the same movies for 3 weeks. I can never find the time to just sit down and watch a movie.

We use Netflix. The service of Netflix is not bad. Never tried Blockbuster. But one good option for Blockbuster is you can pick your movie from store.

I am not that impressed with Blockbuster's in-store selection. They just closed the blockbuster store closest to me anyway! I might just try netflix again sometime. Thanks for your response.

I don't think our local Walmart has a rental service but it would be great if they did!

My husband and I had netflix before and we did like it but it was an expense that we didnt really need so we cancelled it after a few years. I am on a site called snapdollars and I have about $50 in my account but until I reach $15 in offers that I have completed I cannot request my payment. One of the cash offers I could do was sign up for blockbuster online and I would get $8 in my snapdollars account for signing up. It is only $5.99 I think it was that I paid for the blockbuster online for the month so I earn $2 to my snapdollars account and now I cant finally after years request my snapdollars payment. The first disc that I am supposed to be getting in the mail from blockbuster online is dexter season 5 disc 1. I cannot wait to watch it!

I've never considered ordering from any online rental company, except for Amazon (as they have the Xena season) Blockbusters is not too far away for me!
