Well that was weird...

...but a blessing.
I was unloading the dishwasher, and my phone rang. I answered it, and it was a gal from the main office. She said they'd found my check in the dropbox (where I'd put it yesterday) but their records showed that I had already paid.
Me: ???
The lady said that their computer showed that I had set up automatic payments. Okay...don't really remember doing that, but I guess I did. She asked if I wanted to come and get the check or for her to just shred it. I asked her to just shred it. So now, I have $2,030 back that I thought I'd spent!

Hey at least they didn't make you pay twice. and that's a lot for rent.
