To Maryland and back

I am still recovering from the exertions made over the weekend in moving Son2 to Maryland. It took more out of me than I expected.
He's mostly settled into his new place and started his new job yesterday. He's very excited about the job. He's not as keen on living up there alone for the next 8 months until GF finishes her Master's and joins him.
I didn't get much of a break yesterday after not getting back from Maryland until after 9 p.m. Sunday night. I had to rise early and go to the church to help sort and count the weekend offerings. The truck also had to be taken in for service yesterday. Regular stuff.
Today, I've been working on my writing and playing with Sophie. She's been making friends with the new dog next door. He's a pit bull mix named Bruno but seems well-trained and sociable, and he seems infatuated with Sophie.
That catches me up. What have all y'all been up to since last I checked in?

I hope he enjoys his new place and job, When I lived in Latvia my cat Sid at that time was friends with the neighbor's Rottweiler Toro. At times it seemed like they actually had conversations,

@DWDavis No, I live in a house. This was my nephew who was moving from an apartment to a condo in MD. He is in Columbia which is a very nice area. Looking forward to visiting.

I'm sorry Son2 has 6 months of solitude to look forward to. Nothing new other than we celebrated our wedding anniversary yesterday by ordering pizza. We had Chinese over the weekend to celebrate 57 years since our first date (Yes, it's silly; but I told hubby about it anyway!!). Have a great day.

@DWDavis Ours was 4 years apart. I'm glad to hear that you celebrate the first date too!
