Tuesday out to dinner

Went out to dinner with a friend for the first time in a while. The first place we went to was out of business, which was a surprise since we'd gone there with Uber Eats for a delivery three years ago. The next closest one is in the next state over. The second closest one is in the state south of that.
But, we ended up going to a small Italian place we'd been to before. I ordered a pizza turnover and he ordered sausage cacio e peppe with spinach.
Personally, I think the pasta looked gross. Leave out the spinach and it'll look better. I ate less than half the turnover (pizza crust topped with sauce and cheese, folded in half and deep fried.
I brought the rest of mine home and offered it to my daughter. She finished it off. She's been feeling unwell and hadn't eaten yet, so it hit the spot.

These are similar. Calzones are on the same menu, but they don't have sauce on the inside. These are basically pizzas folded in half. They're either baked or fried. I prefer fried. There's a company called Tarantino that makes smaller ones called panzarottis. They're OK, but their crust is blistery and way more crunchy. I like the turnovers better. You can get them with the same toppings in them as pizza.
