Eggs and their size

These days we get eggs that are much smaller than what we used to get in the good old days
When I baked the date and walnut cake for last Christmas I realised it turned out a bit dry and then I realised it was because of the eggs The recipe says 4 eggs but I should have put 5 as the size eggs has reduced.
This Christmas I will remember to put 5 eggs instead of 4 in my date and walnut cake and hope to get a moist cake.

@allknowing They look the same size. I can’t tell any difference.

As long as they are just used for frying may be you can eat two instead of one but in recipes one needs to worry
