Well. Tom Thumb took longer than I had thought it would. But one of my favorite cashier's was there and she was smoking when we pulled up- so I let her finish her cigarette and we talked. Then we talked while I made my coffee and grabbed a chocolate milk for Chris, a Dr Pepper for us in the morning and grabbed us each a midnight snack.
Anyway on to the doctor-medical update.
I went to the ER last week. Was told I had a UTI and was given meds. I started taking said antibiotic and steroid and within two days was in so much pain I couldn't roll over/get out of bed ETC without being in pain that was worse than my all natural child birth. I called my primary care and he said that I should go to the ER. So we went to the ER that is associated with his clinic. They did a urine test etc. Then went to do the blood work and had two separate people poke me. Neither one could get blood so they just basically said eff this and sent me home. They claimed my UTI was gone and that I was perfectly fine.
I called my primary when I left there, he asked who was in the ER and who said that, listened to what my symptoms were again and sent me to the bigger hospital in Miramar Beach (the one that has been dealing with my gallbladder issues and diagnosed the UTI). We got there, I told them what was going on and they were AWESTRUCK and not in a good way with how the first ER that day had handled things.
We did more scans, blood tests, another urine test etc. The UTI of course hadn't gone anywhere, my gallstones had multiplied and I had a kidney infection to top it all off.
So I was given fluids, antibiotics, steroid, some pain meds, and told that I needed to get on top of the surgeon's office and get this surgery to get my gallbladder out asap. Which is what I have done every day. I have called them. They aren't sure that insurance is going to cover my surgery. Which is not really what I need to hear right now. It's at least a $9 to $15 thousand dollar procedure. Soooo thats a fun thing to try to figure out how to pay for. PCP said that a lot of his patients that have faced similar things have had good success with crowdsourcing or funding fundraising platforms. That goes everything that I have ever done in my life. I have had to ask for help a few times in my life. But I don't like doing it. Which is probably why my health has been beating me up for so long. So I guess when I Get done with this post I am going to figure out how to set up a fundraiser. LOL
My kidney infection has cleared up for the most part. I have two more days of antibiotics. And hopefully when I am done with that I Will feel better. They also have me on pain meds/muscle relaxers and my pcp has started me on meds for my restless leg syndrome.
So I'm both better and worse than I was when I last posted about my health. I am both glad I know more, but frustrated that there's more to deal with.
So we will see how this weekend goes and how long I have to wait for surgery funds and stuff.
I will try to update again after I see a doctor next week.
I could use all the good thoughts, good vibes, prayers and maps to money trees and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Thank you for all the messages I have gotten via texts/messenger and facebook so far. I appreciate you all.

Nope. At least not that I am willing to go have surgery done at.

I don’t understand how insurance could even hesitate to pay for your gallbladder to come out. That seems like such a “routine” ask.
Did your doctor give any indication on whether he was going to give an earful to the idiotic ER who sent you home?
And, while I know we can’t post a link on this site, feel free to PM me a link if you get a fundraiser up and running to cover your surgery. I cannot believe insurance has brought you to this point, and I sure as heck want to contribute as much as I possibly can.
