Are your neighbors loud?? If so, do tell, lol!

I have upstairs neighbors and they can get so loud, and not your normal, average, run-of-the-mill loud, but your "I'm-trying-really-hard-to-annoy-people" type of loud. The stomping! The door slamming! The extra-loud talking! Like, why?? For what?? It's sort of funny to me actually. About a month ago, they went somewhere for a day or two, and I must say, I kind of missed them... It was soooo quiet, it was almost like, "Hey, where are you guys?? Come back! Come stomp around!! Come slam a door!"

I am not amused by my loud neighbor upstairs.

@RebeccasFarm My apologies for being so nosey, but would you like to elaborate just a bit? Also, are you planning to move anytime soon, or are you more wanting them gone?

@HomeBase Oh he is running a manufacturing business with epoxy fumes and welding plastics right above my bedroom. I would like him to blast himself off the face of the earth thanks.

@RebeccasFarm Please, don't hold back, tell us how you really feel. Epoxy fumes and welding plastics right above your bedroom? That's terrible. Let's hope he makes enough money soon from that business and moves his manufacturing to a more fitting place.

As long as it's only at times! Otherwise it can be really irritating.

I'm pretty happy to say that I hardly hear my neighbours.

That's a blessing. I don't have any loud neighbors on my floor, but the floor above us is a different story.

The ones that were loud and threw cans at people got evicted and everyone around here was glad about that.

Threw cans at people?? My goodness. Yeah, it was time for them to go. Sometimes you can take the animal out of the barn, but you can't take the barn out of the animal... or however that saying goes. Thankfully I don't have anyone loud living directly next door to me, that only goes on with the people upstairs. I can't even imagine how it feels to hear front doors slamming all hours of the day and night, a front door that is right next to your own front door, no less.

That is a blessing, I love quiet neighbors. I try to be as quiet as I can, but sometimes making noise is unavoidable. I once got into a little verbal dance with an acquaintance of mine who was trying to convince me that it was okay for him to take showers at two and three in the morning, even if it woke the neighbors up. I said it was inconsiderate, he said, no it's not. Ugh.

@RubyHawk Lol, is it possible for me to like and dislike this comment at the same time?? I like it because you're giving me another perspective, but I "dislike" it because that perspective is agreeing with the sentiments of my ex-friend. That was my ex-acquaintance's point, that people wouldn't hear his 1 and 2 AM showers. I know that I can hear when someone takes a shower in the wee hours of the morning, especially if it is on a weeknight and all is quiet... kids asleep, people in bed resting up for work in the next few hours. I kind of have the same pet peeve about people doing laundry at midnight, 1:00 and 2:00 AM. In a private home, yes, but in an apartment building??

@HomeBase I don’t believe someone taking a shower would bother me. I doubt I would hear it.

I have a very silent neighborhood. I just hear noise in the evening when children are in the play area down my building. Rest of the time, it's silent and at times I can hear the rustling of leaves. I love it here

I live in a pretty quiet neighborhood too, but some of the people who live upstairs are just loud, and it's only them, I hardly hear anything else. They make enough noise for everybody. That sounds so beautiful that you can hear the rustling of leaves, sounds like the atmosphere of a fairytale in a book. Peace and quiet when you're at home is such a good thing.

@HomeBase I too love that about my building.. it's way inside and away from the main road. Those buildings close to the entrance gate are next to road. They hear the traffic noises. And there is ongoing metro construction there. Soon, there would be a busy metro station next to them.
