Looks like my friend is leaving

Philippines

My former classmate of mine who show off his immigration visa in FB. I'm surprised because not only smart but he is also successful in life. He works as a real state and has a girlfriend. What shock me is how he tells every one how how hard it is to get that visa. Looks like he's really looking forward to stay abroad (US). Im not surprised if my other former classmates living abroad since they already have wife and kids already. But I guess I didn't expect him to actually leaving the country. Kinda hate myself because I didn't pursue the petition Dad set it out for me. I didn't pursue it not only because we didn't have much money to process it further. But I also hated him personally. So, now I regret it not pursuing it. But in my situation, i don't see myself having a future in the US. Maybe this classmate of mine has. Good luck to him.

Yes it is sad to look back and realize we may have missed an opportunity in life.

Probably not much since he's been doing fine over the decade. What surprises me he even manage to have a girlfriend @AmbiePam maybe I should have waited like he did.

Good luck to your friend as he moves to the US. I have friends who have moved there too and are living great lives. I think opportunities are many in the US unlike my country. One of my friends already has a car even. I am like you, I cannot afford to apply for visa to move out of my country. I have been trying though to apply for scholarships and the US green card. I hope I get successful someday. For now, I am trying my best to earn a decent living here in my country and keep clapping for others hoping my time will come too.
