In the animated movie the Prince of Egypt, we had Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston sing together. The song was called When You Believe. Beautiful.

Musicals were very popular back in the 60s. Musicals are very rare now in the United States. Mostly they are Broadway shows brought to the screen. I can't think of any duets except for Grease which was released in 1978 and stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Have a good day.

And looks like you too get nostalgic about 1990s songs. Here is one from Aashiqui - Rahul Roy & Anu Aggarwal - 1990. Enjoy!!

@writerjo The 1990 movies Aashiqui and Dil set a trend and bought back rhythm and soul of music then. In the song I shared and a few more 90s song, Kumar Sanu's voice was so melodious, I still recall those songs. Now most of the songs seem to lack feelings, perhaps a sign of changing times !

The Duet songs in Indian movies - be they Tollywood, Kollywood, Bollywood or other languages are world famous. I once read an article of an Indian journalist. He once went to a South East Asian country - probably Malaysia or Singapore. There he was asked that whether Indian boys and girls dance around trees in real life too ? Some Bollywood songs are very famous in Russia and Egypt.

@writerjo My era of Indian cinema is pre 1990s when I used to watch many films with Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna etc. the sound tracks were always magnificent.
