Making chocolates at home

My niece who attended cooking classes learnt to make chocolates at home. She sent me the recipe and I did give it a try But what I could not get here was coco butter which is one of the essential ingredients. I had to make do with ordinary ghee. Although they formed into chocolates they did not look the way we get chocolates in stores. It was fun making that attempt anyway. I wrapped them in colourful foil and on the outside they did look professional. Image credit:

Oh now that is a shame you could not get the coco butter. Yum though. I would have eaten the ones you made. Thank you

I remember my sister was over and she really liked them. But they did not look polished - you know what I mean. They had taste though

@allknowing Don't you think taste is more important than looks?

I love cooking now since I have moved to another city to work. My better half still lives in our old home taking care of the kids. Living alone has made learn cooking.

@allknowing No I just melt the chocolate and mix the ingredients together. Very simple.

I guess ghee is healthier than butter.

Do you feel a big difference in taste without coco butter?
