The after dinner happiness.

I finally made myself a dinner. And as I was hungry, I made a dinner that had to do with cravingss.
Ever since I don´t know when, maybe over 5 years, I hadn´t had a meatball soup of the kind that my grandmother made when we were children.
There are many dishes I don´t cook now that I live alone. Many times I find that it is too difficult or too long to make them or I want something to take to my bedroom to watch TV while I eat.
But today I thawed ground meat thinking about an easy hamburger. And then I remembered my grandma´s soup and decided to spend time in dicing onion, caramelizing it with ground garlic, mincing parsley leaves and grate old bread. And only then came the ground meat, the egg and the spices.
It turned out very nice, friends. It was perfect for this chilly day buy it was also good to make me happy after that boring morning with no light.
While I was eating I watched the end of the panamerican games. Tomorrow the parapanamerican games start. This is the first time I´ll watch them.
See you later. I´ll go wash a couple of dishes before I go to bed.

When I invited lots of friends for my birthday years ago, I often cooked my grandma´s recipes. It was cheaper and the guests were delighted.

I ate more than my share yesterday. It was just too good!

I´m happy too. And I am also happy that I have enough to heat the rest of the soup for lunch. No work today.

I am tending to do that but I shouldn´t. That´s why I´m glad when I have to make bigger meals when Anita and Mario come here to work. I can´t give them just a sandwich.

Luckily since our food was delivered, all our dishes got to go straight to the trash can.
We just had a couple of a new flavor of Hershey's Kisses, and now I am updating all my drawing apps and watching Friends.

I have a tendency to recycle even the pots from the restaurants when I bring what I left from dinner out. I also recycle ice cream plastic containers. I use them to give away leftovers to younger friends who come to eat here for a good dinner that they can´t afford.

@marguicha I do sometimes. But since we are making due in a hotel for a couple nights
The soup sounds really good. My eyes lit up when you described caramelizing the onions. I do that when I make my stroganoff, but I haven't made it in years.

It wasn´t so simple. Maybe that is why I hadn´t cooked it for such a long time. I am a good cook but I am lazy if I cook just for myself.
