All Artists Learn From Somewhere

Artistic inspiration can come in many forms. All artists (and I literally do mean all) draw inspiration from those who came before, no matter how original they think they are.
Frankly, if they say they don't, they lie.
Even stick figure drawing (primitive as it is) is something people learn. You don't pop out of the womb and run straight for the canvas either.
(Art done for Mountain Monday.)

Nice art piece. Some of us have no artistic talent at all. Have a great day.

@LindaOHio you might find something artistic you're good at, might be surprised.

@jnrdutton I'm good at needlework - needlepoint, embroidery, etc.; but that's it!

@LindaOHio needlepoint is awesome. My stepmom used to do a lot of that, she created some really interesting stuff. I vividly remember a wedding piece she did after she married my father. I wish I had a picture of it, I still wonder how she did some of the finer/delicate points of it to this day.

Yes, that's right. And anyone can learn to draw and paint. You just need the right tutor. The seasons art class that I went to in the summer was excellent.
I read somewhere it said that all children are artists, they just don't always keep it up. Obviously not straight out of the womb, but as soon as they can hold a pen. Someone said if you can hold a pen and write you can learn to draw and paint. Because writing is mark making, and so is drawing.
Nice painting by the way, that's really good.
