The 14 diyas festival is celebrated on 2nd day of Diwali.

For Hindus in India Diwali is the festival of lights. On the day of Indian calender of chaturdashi, 14 diyas are lit. Chaturdashi means 14th day of the month. That is the day of amavasya so moon gives no light. The diyas that are lit give light. Houses are cleaned. Very good alpona or rangoli given. Cities look bright and beautiful with the mud diyas.
