Firefighters from the Elizabeth New Jersey Fire Department answered an emergency call from a concerned eyewitness who reported that a house that is two and a half stories tall made of wood frame property on Monday morning.
The fire inside was located in the attic of the home which was caused by the balloon frame design. The thick smoke was rising from the attic's lengthy soffits.
The firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly and save a dog that was seen inside of the home that caught fire.
Thank goodness no one was injured in the fire. It is likely that there was no one inside of the home when the fire began.
