I will never get tired of dry fruits. Of the dry fruits, I like figs and apricots. Since they are too dry I soak them in sugar syrup and they turn soft When I was holidaying in the US I spent a few days with my nephew's family. They had a plum tree and it is then I came to know prunes are nothing but dry plums. Wonder why they are called prunes - never mind. I also like dates and I did get to taste the best dates that are grown in the Middle East. The ones I ate were almost 2" in length and expensive too. They are called Medjool Dates. I use black dates while baking my favourite date and walnut cake. And then there are sultanas and golden raisins and I like them too. We use raisins in several dessert items that we prepare. @allknowing Yes we are. I was eating the wrong fruit in Guernsey then. I've always thought they were prunes now I wonder if I ate something I shouldn't have

I love them, but got to be careful not to eat too many. I got some dried apricots for son for potassium.
