What is wrong with modern Christianity?

Author and philosopher, CS Lewis, said, "Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important." This brings to mind the Bible verse from Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Modern Christianity seems far removed from this theology. 1. Modern Christianity is more about comfort and happiness than about surrender and service. 2. Modern Christianity makes excuses for sin instead of hating sin, the sin that put Jesus on the cross. 3. Modern Christianity pampers personal frailties instead of repentance. 4. Modern Christianity engages in worship that is more about entertainment and emotional highs than worship of our Holy God. 5. Modern Christianity relates sermons to draw the masses rather than concern itself with doctrinally sound messages. 6. Modern Christianity has produced churches that are culturally aligned rather than Biblically grounded. There is no question as to why evil seems to be winning. But God is still on the throe and He will not be mocked. We will all answer to Him for our choices.
