I'm currently reading a coworks paranormal romance. I've read the first two books before this one but I'm having an issue while reading it. I've found out that the female main character is a siren but the way the author is explaining it is more like she is a suckubis because she needs to feed off of people's sexual energy to stay alive and she is having her yearly cycle where she needs to feed. That doesn't sound like a siren. Sirens are women of the sea, they use their voices to make men drown. Creatures are not lining up.

I am in agreement with that sirens who are women of the sea that use their voice to attract males.

@ShyBear88 I know what you mean since the author of the book has his or her version of the character.

I know nothing about that but I do know that when you are writing a book you have to meticulously do research to get everything just right,
