Memories of Underdevelopment - 7/10 I finally had the urge to try out a movie after reading the description - a bourgeois writer chronicling Castro's new revolution in 1961-62, while juggling his own personal life... Unfortunately, I left my phone on and of course received a phone call when I was just getting into it. It's online in full in the best channel for movies (it's basically Criterion) and I had no idea until I tried to find a pic for this post and the YouTube impression popped up... I'm not from Cuba, but would love to see things from their perspective. Maybe someone in here is from Cuba? Maybe someone in here has seen the movie? It's not long, and flows pretty quickly, even with my interruptions! This was just on Turner Classic Movies, so I'm sure it's available for Free On-Demand, or you can view it on YouTube. The other movies are even better. Some are masterpieces, like "Bicycle Thieves" or if you like Italian (realistic) horror, "Fists in the Pocket"
