Cord blood is collected by doctors or nurses when the baby is delivered and when the umbilical cord is separated from the mother. Blood is extracted from the cord and stored in banks.
Apart from other benefits it is used the most in cancer patients It is considered safer and better than bone marrow transplants

You are right I have said that and it is good particularly for cancer as it does not have to match any blood group unlike bone marrow
