I get that there are people who were abused as children,some let it make their hearts bitter, but others are MORE compassionate because they don't want others suffering like they have,at least in my experience. By the way,suffering abuse never justifies inflicting it on others, I mention that because it's something that needs to be said, uncomfortable as the statement might make certain people in our society these days.
