I read about a store clerk who shot an armed robber and then the robber's family said the clerk shouldn't have had a gun at work. I get that they are grieving the loss of their brother, but what did they really expect? For the clerk to just let his place of business get robbed, and possibly the robber to take his life? Let's get real.

In order to self protect himself, the store clerk would have shot the guy..I guess. I mean I wouldn't shoot anyone for robbing, but if they were going to kill me....

@RebeccasFarm If someone comes up on me or my Loved ones with the intent to cause harm, I'll do anything in my power to defend my Loved ones and myself. It's natural human instinct to fight for one's life when there's an imminent threat. I feel sorry for the family of the robber, in a way, but I kind of feel like he brought it on himself, and on some level they surely understand that. Actions have consequences.

@jnrdutton Yes you are so right..I mean these days, one has to know that people are going to protect themselves..which means you may die.

The store clerk did exactly what I would do if I felt my life was in danger.
