The frog painting - Work in progress.

Here is my frog painting that I'm doing. I did the background first as usual. I wanted the background to look kind of blurry, to show it's further away, but I don't know if I've achieved that. I wanted the darker greens to kind of merge into the lighter greens. There is a bit of a redish/orange colour down in the bottom left that I tried to merge into the background too. After the background was dry, I started on the top leaf. I tried to get it to be a slightly lighter green than the light green in the background. And then I painted the lower leaf with a much lighter version of the darker green, but I don't think I've actually got it light enough. Now I'm going to start on the stem, and the bottom of the lower leaf. Then I'll paint the frog, and lastly I'm going to try and paint in rain. I have already looked at some YouTube videos on how to paint rain. Anyway, that's as far as I've got. I hope you like it so far. I hope you are all having a nice day.
