Crocheting for Christmas - Day 1: Kittens

After finish crocheting for Halloween, I started to crochet some toys for my children. I followed a crochet along event in Instagram, which include this small kitten and some other accessories for the kitten.
I like that these patterns are tiny and simple, so I can complete them quickly. I have to make two sets too, as my daughter and younger son would love to have their own set. I plan to give them one tiny toy each day since 1 December, until Christmas. I have been having this "Advent treasure hunt" every December since my oldest was still young, but now he doesn't enjoy these crochet toys anymore. 
These are the kittens for day 1. I also crocheted two pouches to keep them, so it's easier to hide and seek. My daughter likes pet rescue lately, so I made her "rescue" the kitten, and asked her to write about the kitten too. Well, some "school work" for her.
How do you prepare for Advent or Christmas?

I had error when uploading the image that day. I thought of uploading the photo later, but forgot about it. 
I like the idea of having treasure hunt as well, but my children like it so much, and even though I thought of doing something different every year, they still prefer the treasure hunt and hope to get even a small gift everyday in December.
