I can smell my cooking from my bedroom where I am mylotting. Who said that you lost your sense of smelling if you smoked? I never lost it, not even when I was a heavy smoker. I have always smelled what I´m cooking instead of tasting it. Maybe it is because I hate washing dishes and would never use a spoon to taste and put it back into the pot as I have seen too many people doing. I am starting yet another list for the super. I needed whole black pepper and there wasn´t any. Maybe it was part of what got burnt months ago. I do have ground pepper so I used that. I hope it works. I made friends with a girl shopper some months ago. While she was bringing me the groceries she told me that she had a college title in something that had to do with trees. She was from the the south and a Mapuche, two things that mean less possibilities of work here. I asked her about a tree that had grown by itself and was very beautiful. She knew the name and at what time of the year I could transplant it. I invited her to chocolate cake that she had brought and she invited me to go to some special event in this part of town for Native people. She said that there would be Native cuisine, crafts and singing. Yesterday she called me and told me that there was such an event next week. Could I go? I was elated! She has a van and she´ll come and pick me up and bring me back. I placed a bell to remand me of my pot. So now I´ll have to check it. And probably eat part of the contents. See you later.

I hate when people put the spoon back in after tasting it. It’s so lazy. Just get a clean one. My husband does it all the time it’s gross I think to feed other people food you’ve stirred after eating off the spoon or while licking your fingers then touching their food to serve it to them. I love that you will get to go to that event with the nice girl you met.

I simple do not accept that. If I see someone doing that, I ask them to hand me the spoon to place it in the sink.

@marguicha if I’m in the kitchen when he is cooking I usually try to grab it before he can put it back in then I hand him a clean spoon to use but I’m not always in the room.

@shaggin I did not have that problem with my husband. He only know how to make one dish and it did not need tasting And the only maid I have had that I have let help me cook is Leticia who is as picky as I am.

It will be. I am being taken to places that I would not go by myself. It is very special.
