I woke up today with news that worried me about some of my friends here. The Philippines has had a powerful earthquake. Earthquakes in the other side of the world are always important news in my country because there could be tsunamis here. In fact, all the cities near the vast Pacific Ocean that we have in one of our sides have ways of scaping towards the higher slopes. But as I watched the news, I felt a closer worry. I have some close friends here at mylot. Take care, please!

The Philippines and Chile, my country, are 2 places where we have big earthquakes once in a while and smaller ones all the time. I know what that is. Take care, dear friends

It woke me up, I thought I was dreaming. There have been no reports of major damage in our city but they issued a tsunami warning in the area where it hit. I think that location is surrounded by water.

If houses are well built, I think that tsunamies are far more dangerous.
