That was a longer day than usual...

For Sonday, anyway. After church today we did a bit of sitting around and having some goodies. After a while, I think it was the pastor's wife who started getting out the Christmas things. There were eight of us left at church (including me) so we all started doing this that and the other. A couple of people put wreaths on the windows, and a couple of us straightened out the bows with wire in them (which had gotten squished after being in storage all year) and put them either on the window wreaths or the tree on the main stage. Someone got the Nativity scene out (it's box, at least), and I had the privilege of putting all of the pieces of it out. One young lady (who I've known since she was about four, now she's thirty-something, I think) decorated the garland that was put up with Christmas ornaments. Of course today I chose to wear a long-sleeved black shirt--with all the "running around" I got pretty hot, but I'm glad I got to help. I didn't sleep well last night, but I'm pretty sure I'll sleep well tonight! Hope your morning/afternoon/evening/etc. went well in your part of myLot land!

Isn’t it amazing to see grown adults we knew as little children in church?

@Chellezhere It's almost surreal.

It is wild to see them in any setting. I know a woman I babysat when she was three. She's a 36-year-old floor nurse with three kids of her own now.
