Book 2 in the Bells Pass Christmas series. Melissa and Mason hold the title for biggest dating disasters of Bells Pass. They've danced around each other at The Nightingale Diner for the past four years and everyone can see what they can't; they're perfect for each other. It will take a burning motel, an important wedding, and a mysterious illness to convince Melissa and Mason to admit their feelings for each other. This Christmas, everything will change in Bells Pass, and no one will be untouched by the magic of Holly. ~~~~ This story picks up where the first book left off (though the first was not a cliff hanger). These books are easy holiday reads. They aren't slow moving and the chapters are short. But plenty happens in the story which includes the wedding of the characters in the first novel, unexpected attraction between two co-workers, and a surprise call about the child Melissa had when she was a teenager. As I have said before, Katie Mettner writes inclusive stories. In this case Melissa comes down with a chronic illness. Her struggles spur Mason on to help her which brings them even closer. Loved this one.
