Managing Bullies at Work

I must admit that I am not that stressed out working with bosses who are bullies at work. The typical scenario is when they start bullying workers to work harder and scaring them with layoffs. I used to experience this with a former company. Some virtual teachers are worried because it is not easy to work from scratch in teaching online, and that includes me. The feeling changed when I found a new one and got another for backup. Either way, if they fire me, I can still have a job that I can fall back on. That is why I tend to ignore the management for bullying me. Of course, I still voice my sentiment towards them, but in a professional way.
How do you manage bullies at work?

I think I'm very lucky to have very friendly colleagues. I always make sure to check out the company's culture before I get the job. It's important to have a warm atmosphere at work.

@Shavkat I've been working online for 10 years now. I guess I'm just lucky not to have toxic people around. Ignoring the bullies can work for some time. Good thing you have a backup plan.

@cherriefic The backup company is far better than this company. Japanese students are more polite to teach.

It is easy to know a company's culture offline. Online companies can be known if starting to work them. Despite of it, I still voice out my sentiments towards the management. It is also a blessing in disguise when I resigned in my previous job for more than 8 years. Now, I am working with two companies.l if ever the working relationship with this company turns sour, I can still have the other company as a backup.

That is a tough one especially when they are our direct supervisors. Can you work for another company that treats you etter?

Ignoring is the key to manage this company's issue. I still have one more company that I am working with. It is my backup if things didn't work out with this company. In fact, the representative cannot control me because I am so vocal if she is trying to bully me.

Well, I never really worked online, but in former jobs..I would walk right up to the bully boss and ask them could they repeat what they said?
And they would not.

And they would not.1 person likes this

@RebeccasFarm I am proud of myself for doing so.
I had a big lesson with the previous company.

Bullies are awful especially in the workplace. You can only do your best and work as hard as you can. I know somebody who is being bullied at work and it makes him unhappy at home too.
