The five senses that we cannot live without are seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching. When I say we cannot live without amazingly many not having all these senses specially seeing and hearing are doing better than those who have all the senses.
An example is Tifanny Brar who was blind right from the time she was just six months old due to a disease.
Having a father who had to travel to different places she became a linguist having to learn from just hearing and started a Foundation Jyothirgamaya Foundation, that teaches those like her to live a life of dignity and help them to use their talents.
The link below has all the details
Is there anyone around who is an achiever having to face such situations?

She must be more talented in many ways. We had a gardener who was mute and he 'spoke' the most (lol)

I personally do not know anyone who is in such a situation. But there are for sure many achievers who have lost one of their senses.
