Reading some of the guidelines on Online Book Club

Where the ridiculous psychobabble book I've been trying to read came from.
There are lots of rules as to how one reviews things, (I found after doing some clicking around--I would have thought they would have told me them upfront). It's kind of nutty, but I guess that they have to have some kind of guidelines.
I note that they also have a "book of the month" to choose if you wish to--I don't know that I'll do that very often--looking at the books that they had. There's even a portion in their guidelines that says something to the effect of: "If you don't think the book is a good fit for you, don't read it." (wish I'd have seen that sooner!)
Thankfully there was also a portion in there that said something to the effect of "If you hated the book, say so and explain why."
O-kay, they asked for it...
First I had to send them a photo of the book (or receipt) to prove I bought it. Well, there's the picture I sent above. Now I'm waiting for someone to look at my photo that I sent and confirm that my purchase was real.
We'll see.

True, though I think I'll be putting it on some other site. They asked for proof of my purchasing it and so I took a photo on my floor (the one I've been using), and they rejected it, saying, it "was only a photo of the cover." Seriously? That site is just messed up.

I did that last year and it lasted a few months. I did get paid for accepted reviews. One I never got paid for, because they didn't like my review. I removed myself from getting their notifications this fall, since I'm no longer active there. I wish you luck with it. I prefer Good reads, Netgalley, Bookishfirst, etc.
